Soft tissue massage - this has many recognised benefits such as maintaining and increasing flexibility, reducing any stiffness or soreness experienced while training, increasing circulation and reducing the risk of injury.
Maitland’s vertebral and peripheral joint mobilisations - Mobilisations are now recognised evidence-based treatment methods for both spinal and peripheral joint pains or stiffness.
Core stability - Core stability provides central body control and allows the ‘core’ muscles to work efficiently. A core stability exercise program can be used to reduce symptoms of low back pain.
Sports specific rehabilitation exercises - Rehabilitation is essential in allowing a full recovery to pre-injury levels and minimising the risk of re-injury. Programmes are designed specifically for the individual.
Biomechanical assessment - It may be necessary to stabilise or strengthen the area of injury to protect against re-injury. Issues such as posture may also be considered to try and reduce repeated strain to the affected area.
